From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

UPDATE: Radiohead will also play Portugal's NOS Alive this year - along with Tame Impala, The Chemical Brothers and Hot Chip - and Primavera (line-up here).

ORIGINAL: Radiohead has announced their first headline festival slot, with multiple publications claiming the band will tour in 2016 to support their as-yet unnamed ninth album.

Openair St. Gallen, a Swizz music festival, released their line-up, with Thom Yorke’s band heading up the bill, followed by Mumford & Sons, Deichkind (a German hip-hop collective popular in the country) and Fettes Brot (another German hip-hop group).

Consequence of Sound is also reporting that Radiohead plan to do several other festivals across the world, with a North American tour expected to take place in July. Radiohead’s last live performance was in November 2012.

The band recently set up a mysterious company called Dawn Chorus, leading many to believe their next album could be released any day now.

With the release of King of Limbs, the band did a similar thing, starting up Ticker Tape Limited, and for In Rainbows, for which they started Xurbia Xendless Limited.

Yorke recently released the band’s attempt at the Spectre theme song. Sam Smith, who performed the song used in the Spectre film, recently claimed he hadn’t listen to Radiohead’s attempt, seemingly forgetting who Thom York was completely.
