My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero is apparently unhappy with Joe Jonas after the former Disney star claimed he had “dirt” regarding rumours of the emo band’s comeback.

The Jonas Brother let slip that he had heard the band in rehearsal while his own group were recording their new album.

“I’ve got some dirt,” he said, during an appearance on UK’s KISS FM Breakfast show. “My Chemical Romance apparently were rehearsing next to us in New York recently, which I thought they broke up, so I don’t know.”

However, Iero quickly dismissed Jonas's claim, and has now doubled down on his statement to quell any building excitement from fans.

Speaking to the Zach Sang Show, Iero called out the Jonas Brothers for talking about “someone else’s band” during an interview, going so far as to suggest they were trying to give themselves some additional weight by aligning themselves with a rock band.

“I think they’re trying to rebrand their band as a real rock band and they’re trying to mention as many rock bands and trying to get, like, synonymous with other things,” he said.

He added: “And people aren’t gonna forget that you’re a Disney band, bro. Sorry, it’s not gonna happen.”
