Mumford & Sons announce Olympic Park gig in July called 'Summer Stampeded 2013'

Mumford & Sons have announced they will play a gig at the Olympic Park this summer.
The band have called the event the “Summer Stampede 2013”, which will take place on Saturday 6 July at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The line-up features acts chosen by the band, including Ben Howard, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Bear’s Den and Haim.
Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett told NME magazine: “All the acts were ones we feel really strongly about and always have on in the dressing room and so on, so it was a no-brainer. It’s going to be a pretty wild night.”
He also revealed the band have wanted to team up with Vampire Weekend since first playing with them in 2009. “They’re a phenomenal band, and one we’re really proud to bring over for this,” added Lovett.
In addition to headlining the Olympic Park, Mumford & Sons will perform at Glastonbury the previous weekend, where Vampire Weekend are also due to play.
Tickets for the Summer Stampede 2013 will go on sale Friday 19 April at 9am.
