Police said 22 people were arrested for public order offences at the gig at Slane Castle, 30 miles north of Dublin.
There were also 35 arrests for minor drug offences, and five reported assaults. One person was detained for driving while under the influence.
But not all fans in the crowd of 80,000 were badly behaved. Superintendent Michael Devine said: "The vast majority of fans heeded the advice given in advance of the event which ensured everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience."
A huge security operation was put in place after nine people were injured during violence at a concert at Phoenix Park last year.
Fans had faced searches at three different entry points, with officers looking for alcohol, drugs and weapons.
Around 750 Garda officers were on duty with an additional 500 local stewards on the ground.
Music promoter MCD has praised the concert-goers who attended the Eminem event for their behaviour.
The veteran rapper played a career-spanning set of 28 tracks, ending on 8 Mile hit, "Lose Yourself".
