Miley Cyrus had a hilarious response when Joe Rogan insulted her “favourite” show RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Appearing on the popular podcast The Joe Rogan Experience on Wednesday (2 September), the 27-year-old was vocal about her love of the Emmy-winning reality show.

While watching clips of some of the series’ iconic performances, Rogan commented that he thought the drag queens all had the same tricks. “They all do the same move, they drop down and do the splits,” he said.

Cyrus quickly retorted, “That’s what I think when I’m watching your shows too, you know? All the same stuff.”

Fans were quick to commend the “Midnight Sky” singer for her quick thinking on social media.

In a post which has received nearly 320,000 likes, one Twitter user wrote, “Joe Rogan was NOT ready for that.”

The pop star and vocal LGBT+ activist is a well-known fan of the drag competition, having featured many of the contestants in her own performances. “I know every single one of them,” she told Rogan, who admitted to never having watched the show himself.

Cyrus also appeared on season 11 of the hit series in 2019.

The Grammy-nominated musician said, “When I said earlier I’m not religious, that’s a lie. I am RuPaul-byterian. I f*** with RuPaul. RuPaul is God.”
