Who is nominated?
Twelve albums have been put forward for the Hyundai (no long Barclays) Mercury Prize ‘Album of the year’ award, the favourite being David Bowie’s Blackstar. Also high in the bookies’ odds are Anohni’s Hopelessness and Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool.

What time will the winner be announced and Where do the awards take place?
The event takes place at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith while the winner will be announced at 10pm.
Who will be performing?
The majority of nominees will be performing at the awards - including The 1975, Skepta, Kano, Jamie Woon, Laura Mvula, Bat For Lashes, ANOHNI, The Comet Is Coming and Savages - while Michael C Hall will perform a special rendition of David Bowie’s “Lazarus”. Hall plays the lead character in Bowie’s musical, also named Lazarus.

BBC Music will be providing live coverage of the ceremony on BBC Four and BBC Radio 6, with Lauren Lavern presenting the hour long special.
