From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Megan Thee Stallion teamed up with James Corden for a "Savage Santa" remix, which debuted on CBS’ The Late Late Show last night (14 December).

Featuring the Houston rapper and late-night host singing and dancing around a holiday-themed set (aka Santa's Twerkshop), the "Savage Santa" clip showcased a revamped chorus: “I’m a Santa/Jolly, happy, merry/Face is plump and hairy/Sack of gifts I carry.”

The "Savage Santa" remix follows Megan's earlier performances of "Body" and "Savage" on The Late Late Show.

Megan is nominated for four awards at next month's Grammy Awards (airing from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 31 January on CBS), including Best New Artist. She told the Los Angeles Times that she is in talks to perform "Savage" at Music's Biggest Night with Beyoncé, who appears on one of the hit single's remixes.

"Being from Houston, Beyoncé means everything to us," Megan told the Los Angeles Times. "I’m pretty sure Beyoncé means everything to a lot of people. But when I got to do a song with her? Oh, my God."

She also recently opened up to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show about the advice Beyoncé and Jay-Z had for her when she's having a bad day.

"Like say if I’m havin’ a bad day, [Jay-Z will] be like, ‘Girl you need to be somewhere drivin’ a boat. Turn up. Have a good time. He gives me the more hot girl advice."

And as for Beyoncé's words of wisdom? “Beyoncé is like, ‘Look queen, just rise above,'" Megan said.

Megan released her debut studio album, Good News, last month.
