From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Major Lazer and Ezra Koenig have teamed up on new track "Vegan Vampire", which features spoken word verses from the Vampire Weekend frontman.
Only today was I listening to that Major Lazer and Amber from Dirty Projectors track "Get Free" and thinking 'Damn that was a fine track', when a new collaboration from Diplo's alter ego popped up online.
This track will feature in Major Lazer's cartoon series set to air on Fox next year and sees Koenig sing from the point of view of a vegetarian would-be blood sucker, saying: "I would never bite you, I would never bite anybody. I may be a vampire, but I'm also a vegan."
The cartoon, which will also be called Major Lazer, failed to make it onto Adult Swim but has found a home at Fox, with Cat Power and RiFF RAFF also set to contribute to its soundtrack.
Koenig has worked with Diplo before, appearing on the track "Jessica" on the album "Free The Universe".
Major Lazer has also collaborated with Bruno Mars, Peaches, Haim, Wyclef Jean, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Pharrell Williams and mny more.
