Your support makes all the difference.Lily Allen broke down in tears as her song "The Fear" scooped three prizes at the Ivor Novello Awards yesterday.
The song, with its lyrics alluding to celebrity and consumerism, won both the most-performed work award and the award for best song, musically and lyrically. Allen was also named songwriter of the year, alongside Greg Kurstin, with whom she has collaborated.
She said: "This song is so much about feeling so lost, it has made me feel quite found."
Paolo Nutini's Sunny Side Up was best album, and Bat For Lashes' "Daniel" won best contemporary song.
