Justin Bieber will release new single “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper on Friday (18 September).

In a clip taken from the music video shared on Instagram on Wednesday (16 September), the “Sorry” singer is seen waking up in the morning.

But rather than finding his wife Hailey Baldwin next to him in bed, Bieber is joined by actor and singer Ryan Destiny, who smiles at him as she wakes.

The track is a collaboration with Grammy-winning musician Chance the Rapper, who is known for collaborating with Kanye West.

The news prompted excitement from Bieber’s famous friends, with DJ Khaled commenting: “LETS GO !!!!!!!!!”, while Chance wrote: “JEEZ”.

On her own Instagram, Destiny referred to the accompanying music video as a “mini movie”, commenting: “Ayee! So fun to be a part of.”

It isn’t the first time Bieber and Destiny have crossed paths, with Destiny winning a singing contest in 2011 where the prize was a trip to the LA premiere of his documentary film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.

“Holy” marks Bieber’s first single release since Ariana Grande charity collaboration “Stuck With U”. The track was released in May and topped the Billboard Hot 100.

Earlier this month, Bieber made a surprise appearance in the music video for DJ Khaled and Drake’s single “Popstar”, during which he lip synced along to ex Selena Gomez’s name.
