From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Over the years, Justin Bieber has been the butt of many, many jokes. Whether in the form of a Comedy Central Roast or the opening gag in Zoolander 2, the young artist has always been an easy target, so much so that’s it’s become increasingly unfunny to poke fun at the “Baby” singer.
Fortunately, there’s still one person who can make jokes about Bieber that aren’t completely stale, and that’s Bieber himself.
During a concert in Canada, Bieber fell off stage - hitting the deck pretty hard - leading to yet another meme being born.
Instead of ignoring the event, Beiber Tweeted a video of the incident to his 83 million followers, along with the caption: “I’m a cat. I got 9 lives. Lol.”
Recently, Bieber used social media to ‘shut down’ the website Hollywoodlife after they published numerous ‘untruthful and hurtful’ stories about the star. He urged his followers to ‘spam them and petition’ to close the site down.
Since the Instagram post, numerous stories on the website, including “Selena Gomez Is Over Justin Bieber: She No Longer Imagines Marriage & Kids” have been removed.
In recent months, the singer has been outspoken about his own privacy and wellbeing, declaring he would no longer take pictures with fans or take part in meet and greets.
