Your support makes all the difference.Singer-songwriter Jamie T has released new music two years after the release of his most recent record.
"Tinfoil Boy" was debuted on Annie Mac's Radio 1 show on Wednesday evening (29 June).
Speaking about the new song, Jamie T - real name Jamie Treays - revealed it was "recorded slightly differently" to his other tracks including "Don't You Find" and "Zombie."
"We went to Detroit and did a session out there. That's where the track came from and it was recorded in a different place under slightly different rules which helped it sound a bit different. Hopefully that comes across. I wanted to put something out that was kind of claustrophobic."
He continued: "I was playing around with a lot of pedals and I was listening a lot to Rage Against The Machine's album and just getting blown away by how exciting it is. That explains the rocky feel."
The Wimbledon hailing musician released his third studio album, Carry On the Grudge, in 2014 five years after his second album Kings and Queens came out.
EP Magnolia Melancholia followed last year and, speaking about a potential fourth record, he told Mac: "My manager called me up and said 'They're gonna ask you about the album - swerve it'."
Seems an announcement is imminent. "Tinfoil Boy" is now available via iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music.
