From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

American rock group Guns n' Roses launches the Chinese Democracy World Tour from Canada over a year after the release of its long-awaited 2008 album Chinese Democracy, according to the band's tour promoter.

The 13-date tour kicks off January 13, 2010 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and winds up on February 4 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the Metro Centre. Tickets will be available for presale beginning October 21 from both Ticketmaster.ca and LiveNation.com. The Canadian dates will be preceded by a previously announced series of Asian live shows, four December dates ranging from the 11th to the 19th.

Guns n' Roses was one of the most successful rock bands of the 1990s, selling over 100 million albums worldwide since their 1987 début album, Appetite for Destruction.

The release of Chinese Democracy (their first CD in 15 years) was delayed by the group's perfectionist lead singer Axl Rose for over a decade, and has sold a relatively underwhelming million copies in the US to date. All advertised dates for the Canadian leg of Guns n' Roses' Chinese Democracy World Tour are as follows:

Jan. 20 - Regina, Saskatchewan (Brandt Centre)
