Usher left Grammys viewers divided on Sunday night after delivering a tribute to Prince with FKA Twigs and Sheila E.

The trio performed a medley of Prince’s songs during the ceremony inside Los Angeles’s Staples Center.

Usher sang “Little Red Corvette,” “When Doves Cry” and “Kiss” while Sheila E, Prince’s former drummer, accompanied him.

FKA Twigs didn’t sing but pole danced before joining Usher for more dance moves during “Kiss”.

Some fans praised Usher’s performance while others were left underwhelmed by the tribute, expressing their disappointment at not having heard FKA Twigs’s voice.

“So... they got FKA twigs for their Prince tribute and... didn’t let her sing? Huh. #Grammys,” NPR music writer Stephen Thompson tweeted.

Twitter user Kathy Boodry, on the contrary, cheered on Usher, writing: ”Wow!!! What a wonderful tribute to the late Prince. Usher was off the charts!!! So much love and respect for the way he performed tonight. So much talent and class Usher.”

“Usher is absolutely killin it. Love this Prince tribute!” Twitter user Chris Bartley wrote.
