Twelve former England players and eight singers have joined forces at West London's Sarm Studios, where the 1984 Band Aid single was recorded, to shoot the new video in aid of Sport Relief.
The line-up for said video includes Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Mel C, musicians Katy B, Pixie Lott, Conor Maynard, Eliza Doolittle and Kimberley Walsh, and footballers Glenn Hoddle, Sir Geoff Hurst, Michael Owen, David Seaman, Dion Dublin and more.
Gary Lineker tweeted the above photo with a caption reading: "The boy Gary Barlow done good for Sport Relief."
Sport Relief also sent updates from its official Twitter account.
The video will premiere on Sport Relief’s variety TV night on Friday 21 March, with the as-yet-untitled song available to download on iTunes from then.
There will be comedy sketches and celebrity performances aplenty, including a reprise of Only Fools and Horses featuring David Beckham.
Tess Daly will present a group dance challenge taken on by four Paralympians for a Sport Relief does Strictly special, with other acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
Little Mix have covered Cameo's 1986 hit "Word Up" for 2014’s official Sport Relief single.
