From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Fleetwood Mac have announced they will tour Europe with Christine McVie for the first time in 16 years.

The band will perform in nine European cities in May and June next year following their On With The Show tour in the US.

The European run will begin on 27 May at The O2, London, before touring in Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.

Fleetwood Mac will finish the European leg of their tour on 30 June in Leeds.

On With The Show follows the band’s successful 2013 tour, which saw the four band members welcome Christine back to the stage at London’s O2 Arena.

“It was so comfortable being back onstage with them as if no time had passed, and then we all started talking and it feels like the time is right. I’m really happy,” she said.

Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks said in a joint statement: “We are overjoyed to have Christine back on stage with us.”

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday 14 November.
