From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

End of the Road festival has announced plans to celebrate its 15th year in 2021.

The music event unveiled next year’s lineup of more than 100 artists, with more to come, including a number that were booked to play this year.

As with other music festivals and events, EOTR was forced to postpone due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Pixies, King Krule and Big Thief have been confirmed as headliners, having been booked for the 2020 edition, while Perfume Genius has also been added to the top of the billing, as the headliner for the Thursday night.

Also confirmed to appear are Bright Eyes, Aldous Harding, Little Simz, Shygirl, Arlo Parks, The Comet is Coming, Anna Meredith, Squid and Les Amazones d’Afrique.

End of the Road is scheduled to take place between 2 and 5 September next year.

The Independent gave last year’s event five stars, praising it as “a weekend of unexpected thrills”.

Tier 4 tickets for 2021 are on sale now, with a deposit scheme in place.
