From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

An Eminem fan has set a new world record by having 16 tattoos of Eminem’s face on her body.

Guinness World Records has announced that Nikki Patterson, a nail technician from Aberdeen, now holds the record for having the most portraits of the same musician on her skin.

The 35-year-old was 19 when she got her first tattoo of the rapper. "He's been the one constant in my life,” Patterson told the BBC.

The tattoos appear on her arms, legs, chest and fingers. "Even I am losing count", she said.

Eminem’s latest album, Music To Be Murdered By, reached number one in the UK earlier this year.

In April, a man was accused of breaking into Eminem’s Michigan home and saying he was there to “kill” the rapper.

A police officer told Macomb County District Court that Eminem woke up to find a man standing behind him.

The rapper initially thought the man was his nephew before realising it was a stranger.
