From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

First up was Justin Bieber’s remix of single “One Dance”, in which the singer sings his own lyrics over the top of the original song.
The Canadian then debuted Gucci Mane’s new track “Back on Road”, featuring Drake. Mane was recently freed from jail and has since also featured on Kanye West’s new track as well as releasing the track "First Day Day Out Da Feds” within his first 24 hours of freedom.
Lastly, Drake dropped his very own track “4PM in Calabasas,” a smooth track that would have likely sat quite organically on Views. Listen below.
Earlier on in the week, Justin Bieber had teased a collaboration with Drake, posting on Twitter a Canadian flag with the hashtag #OVOSoundRadio, OVO Sound Radio being the name of Drake’s radio show.
Meanwhile, Drake has been dominating the UK charts over the last eight weeks, his rendition of “One Dance” sitting at number one for eight straight weeks.
Views is out now.
