Your support makes all the difference.When it became clear President-elect Donald Trump was going to struggle to find musicians willing to perform at his inauguration (20 January) and thus align themselves with him, it seemed smart his team start playing down the debate and saying it wasn't about big performances anyway.
This didn't last long though as Trump, who adores celebrity, chimed in promising "an unbelievable, perhaps record-setting turnout for the inauguration, and there will be plenty of movie and entertainment stars."
He probably should have held his tongue, as that promise is now looking difficult to deliver on.
The 19 January Garden State Gala at the Washington Court Hotel, which will be chaired by New Jersey Governor and Trump supporter Chris Christie, has just landed its headliner: The B Street Band.
If that doesn't ring a bell, it's because The B Street Band is a Bruce Springsteen tribute act.
To add to the humiliation of having to book a covers band, Springsteen is hugely anti-Trump.
"When you let that genie out of the bottle - bigotry, racism, intolerance, they don't go back in the bottle that easily if they go back in at all," he commented at the start of the year.
The B Street Band aren't the only tribute band at the inauguration festivities, with the All American Ball featuring a performance from 80s cover band The Reagan Years.
