From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Donald Glover has surprised the world with what seems to be a livestream of a new album.

The multi-talented singer-actor-writer is yet to comment on the release, but a link to the website has surfaced online and has reportedly been retweeted by his management team.

While his moniker, Childish Gambino, is not mentioned anywhere, the stream – comprised of 12 songs – includes Gambino track “Feels Like Summer”.

Other songs included are collaborations with Ariana Grande, SZA and 21 Savage as well as music fans recognise from his live shows in 2019.

The link was tweeted with: “Donald Glover Presents” – it is not known if this is the album title. The artwork, though, has been released and it depicts a world on fire.

Last September, Glover announced he was retiring live performances as Childish Gambino.

It was revealed yesterday (14 March) that production on the third and fourth season of his FX series Atlanta had shut down in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
