Foo Fighters had a bumpy start to their first shows of 2019, as some Vegas fever apparently caused Dave Grohl to take a tumble off the stage after chugging a can of beer.
After the "look ma, no-hands!" attempt at conquering the can while playing a guitar solo proved too difficult a task (and resulted in a spillage over the speakers,) Grohl grabbed the can, downed it with the kind of speed you'd expect from a rock star, and *attempted* to saunter back onto the stage.
We can only assume that the beer went straight to his head, as he plummeted backwards off the stage. See the video below:
Thankfully, two security guards were at hand to pick Grohl up and haul him back onto the stage.
Grohl has made something of a habit out of falling over during live shows, ever since a similar incident in Stockholm in 2015 saw him break his leg – forcing the band to pull out of their headline Glastonbury slot that year.
Providing the band can keep him injury-free, the Foos return to Europe this summer.
