Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan has revealed he has tested positive for coronavirus.

According to a post from the Tony Award-winning musician’s Instagram account, he has “been sick for a week” but says that he is “feeling better each day”.

He did not say whether he knew how he had contracted the virus, but has been in self-isolation for a week.

“I just got my results back today and tested positive for coronavirus,” he wrote. ”I’ve been sick for a week and feeling better each day. Please don’t be afraid!!! It’s the flu not the plague.

“I’ve have been quarantined for a week and will for another week. And when I feel better I’ll get tested again to make sure I’m free of this nasty virus.”

He concluded: “Please help out each other. This will be over soon... with the help of every American!! [sic]”

Bryan’s latest musical, Diana, about the late Diana, Princess of Wales, was holding previews before it was postponed along with all other Broadway shows due to the pandemic.

Other celebrities to have tested positive for coronavirus include Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Luther star Idris Elba, and Frozen 2 actor Rachel Matthews.
