The 51s annual CMA Awards saw Garth Brooks crowned with the top prize of Entertainer of the Year at a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.
Accepting his award he said: "The most important thing other than God Himself is you, the people who allow us to be in the greatest music ever. Country music, man. I love you."
This year's event also saw regular hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley mocking US President Donald Trump.
Performing for the 10th consecutive year, Underwood listed recent tragedies to take place in the US such as the Las Vegas shooting, recent hurricanes, and the Texas shooting over the weekend.
Awards were then handed out to some of the biggest names in country music. Chris Stapleton took home the award for Male Vocalist of the Year, while Miranda Lambert scooped the prize for Best Female Vocalist.
