Brown’s probation has been revoked following a hit-and-run incident involving the singer, in which he is alleged to have crashed into another car in California in May.
Brown has not yet entered a plea in the hit-and-run case, but if he is found guilty he may have to spend time in prison for disobeying the terms of his assault probation.
The singer pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy Awards in February 2009 and was sentenced to five years of probation.
A representative for Brown said the singer expects the traffic charges to be dropped and probation reinstated.
The woman driving the other car in the hit-and-run case, only identified in court as Olga G, said Brown went “ballistic” after he refused to provide his identification.
In her written statement she said Brown began swearing and grabbed for her camera. “Just a moment ago he was a nice guy. After screaming some insulting nonsense for a while longer, he slammed a door and drove away fast and noisy,” she said.
A legal representative for the woman said she did not want to press charges, and was hopeful the case would be dismissed next week.
Brown took to Twitter yesterday to protest against the hit-and-run charges.
He said: “I did everything I was suppose [sic] to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C’mon!!”
Last month he tweeted: “19-24 years of age. I don’t have all the answers and you can’t show me a person that age who has it figured out. We live and grow. Let me live.”
