The controversial R&B singer was apparently spotted being led into a police car shortly after his show at the Coral Sky Ampitheatre in West Palm Beach on Thursday 5 July.
Footage recorded by fans shows Brown performing in Florida before the arrest:
According to TMZ, several officers were waiting for him in the wings while he performed. It was reported Brown was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of a nearby county - he was later posting a $2000 bail and released. It is not currently known what the warrant was for.
Upon his release, a post appeared on Brown's official Instagram post showing him onstage with the caption: "What's NEW????? Show tomorrow!!!" and an eye-roll emoji.
Brown is currently on tour in support of his eighth studio album Heartbreak On A Full Moon.
He was previously convicted in 2009 for assaulting his then-girlfriend, the artist Rihanna, at a pre-Grammys party.
He was sentenced to five years probation, one year of domestic violence counselling, and six months of community service. He was also given a five year restraining order which required him to stay 50 feet away from Rihanna at all times - reduced to 10 at public events.
