Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The Script might have made history as the first band to perform live in the Queen Vic. And Boyzone might have been sporting some impressive facial hair. But the musical event everyone has been talking about this evening was the reunion of S Club 7.
The Nineties teen pop sensations - performing together for the first time since 2003 - reminded us that there ain't no party like an S Club Party.
Performing a medley of their hits, it was as if Tina, Paul, Jon, Bradley, Hannah, Jo and Rachel had never been away.
Wearing leather miniskirts, shiny shirts and other pre-Noughties garb, they brought it all back to us with gusto.
What with the cheesy lyrics and dance moves to match, they really don't stop moving to the funky, funky beat - with their vocals suffering somewhat as a result.
But the group nevertheless managed to reach for the stars and follow their hearts desires.
"That was OK, wasn't it?" Sir Terry Wogan asked a relieved-looking S Club.
The band will take part in a Children in Need Quiz later this evening called Best Club 7.
