Musician said the idea was 'awful' but promised the band would 'figure it out eventually'

Mike Shinoda has rejected the idea of a hologram image of Chester Bennington touring with Linkin Park.
The musician, who co-founded the band, was responding to a fan during an Instagram live as the question arose to what Linkin Park's plans were for future tours.
"I've actually heard other people outside the band suggest that and there's absolutely no way," Shinoda responded. "I can't do a hologram Chester you guys, that would be the worst.
"For any of you guys who have lost a loved one, best friend, family member, can you imagine having a hologram of them? Awful. I can't do it. i don't know what we're going to do, but we'll figure it out eventually."
The nu-metal band last performed at a tribute concert in October to celebrate the life of the late singer, who died in July this year.
Speaking to Billboard in December, Shinoda told of how grief is a "non-linear process" and he had made a point of sharing how he was coping with fans of the band.
"Some people are having sad days, others are having good days, others are having angry days... add the constant stress and fear of things like the news cycle, and you've got some exceptional chaos on your hands!"
