Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus tease Charlie’s Angels soundtrack collaboration
It's no Destiny's Child, but let's not hold that against them

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus have teased a starry collaboration for the soundtrack of the forthcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot.
The somewhat unlikely trio took to social media last night to confirm their involvement in the track, with Cyrus first tweeting “WE ARE COMING!” before tagging the film and her collaborators, before being joined by Grande and Del Rey.
The pair both posted the same teaser video on their respective Instagrams, showing an animation of the new Charlie’s Angels logo while a circus-like instrumental track plays in the background. The word “Uploading…” appears beneath.
The collaboration follows in the footsteps of the original Charlie’s Angels movie starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu, which recruited Destiny’s Child for its theme song. Their track, the iconic anthem "Independent Women Part 1" was an international smash, topping the charts in the UK, the US and Brazil.
The Charlie’s Angels reboot, directed by actress and filmmaker Elizabeth Banks, stars Kristen Stewart, Aladdin’s Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska and will be released on 29 November.
Speaking to Variety earlier this year, Stewart addressed fears that the reboot would be a dour affair. “At one point I think we said it was woke and grounded, and everyone was like, ‘Wait, is it still fun?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah dude, obviously, it’s ‘Charlie’s Angels'”, she said.
“It’s funny and weird... so hopefully people have fun watching it.”
