Cardi B has explained how she accidentally shared a nude picture to her 77 million Instagram followers.
The rapper immediately deleted the photo and quickly told her fans: “You know what, I’m not going to beat myself up about it."
She was celebrating her 28th birthday in Las Vegas with rapper Offset when she uploaded the photo.
In an Instagram video shortly afterwards, she told her followers what had happened.
“I'm laying in the f***ing bed, right? And I'm telling Offset ... ‘I hit myself under here it got a little [swollen],’ so I'm like, ‘On camera, it looks [swollen],’” she said.
"So I'm taking the f***ing picture ... and then I f***ing pressed and I'm seeing that it's loading and I'm like, ‘Oh my God! Oh my God! The picture's loading!’”
In the hopes of preventing the photo from reaching the web, Cardi turned her phone off before asking Offset to check if it had appeared on Instagram account.
He quickly confirmed that the photo was on her feed.
"By the time I turned my phone on and deleted this s***, everybody and they mom saw my big a** [breasts]. ... [It] was all over the internet," she said.
The “WAP” rapper is not the first celebrity to accidentally leak a nude photo in recent weeks.
Last month, Captain America actor Chris Evans accidently shared an explicit image on Instagram.
In a TV interview after the blunder, Evans said that he had experienced “an interesting weekend,” which was “full of lessons learned, lots of teachable moments.”
“Things happen. It’s embarrassing. You’ve got to roll with the punches,” he added.
