From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

BTS have unveiled a first look at the video for their track “Boy With Luv”, which features a collaboration with Halsey.

The video arrives days ahead of their new album, Map of the Soul: Persona. In 2018, BTS had a string of releases: the Korean-language Love Yourself: Tear and compilation set Love Yourself: Answer, alongside the Japanese-language Face Yourself.

Love Yourself: Tear consolidated the group’s international appeal, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200, while becoming BTS’s highest-charting and first number one album in the US.

The group have two sold-out shows at London Wembley’s Stadium in June, as part of their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour. They will also play Paris’s Stade de France on 7 June.

The Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour kicks off on 4 May at the Rose Bowl Stadium, Los Angeles, California, and will see the group head to Chicago, Brazil and Japan.

Map of the Soul: Persona is released 12 April.
