Ellie Goulding has seen two of her music videos shortlisted ahead of the first social Brit Awards vote for Best Video.

Five nominees were chosen based on official YouTube views, ahead of the awards ceremony next Wednesday (scroll to watch the videos).

Goulding is nominated for her collaboration with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, “I Need Your Love”, and again for her recent number one single “Burn”. John Newman’s “Love Me Again”, Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith’s “La La La” and One Direction’s “Best Song Ever” complete the list of contenders.

The Brit Awards 2014 is set to be the first major awards show of its scale to be broadcast globally by YouTube. During the live event, which kicks off at 8pm, a global audience will vote for Best Video via Twitter, using unique hashtags assigned to each video.

Music fans worldwide will be able to watch special performances from Arctic Monkeys, Bastille, Rudimental, Disclosure and Pharrell Williams. Goulding will also be singing, as will Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Lorde.

Beyoncé is said to be "99.9 per cent on" to play at the ceremony, but her appearance has yet to be confirmed.
