Chanel died aged 13 from brain cancer on Friday (5 March), as reported by Vulture.
The pop star honoured her memory with a video montage of Chanel set over an acapella medley of her songs “Brown Skin Girl”, “Halo” and “Love on Top”.
Beyonce concluded the two-minute clip stating: “I love you with all of my heart, Chanel.”
Chanel gained a large online following over the previous two years, during which she documented her life with brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma on Instagram.
After she posted a video of herself singing Beyonce’s 2011 hit song “Love on Top” in September last year, the Grammy winner sent her a bouquet of flowers.
Chanel’s family have since responded to the touching video on Instagram in a post that reads: “Thank you so much. I’m so grateful that Lyric was able to hear you sing to her before she left this world.”
