Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Jamie T, Kaiser Chiefs and Mark Ronson have been confirmed to join the Benicassim 2015 line-up.

The annual music festival takes place in the Spanish seaside resort of Valencia and, this summer, will feature high energy sets from The Prodigy, Portishead, Florence + the Machine, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Clean Bandit and Bastille.

US hip hop group Public Enemy, alt dance band Crystal Fighters, Swedish singer-songwriter MØ and Dublin brothers Hudson Taylor have also been announced.

Benicassim director Melvin Benn said: "The international festival that started the concept of international festivals enters its 3rd decade and what a wonderful feeling it is for me to be part of it.

"The third decade represents the real start for me and, as well as a stellar line-up of Main and Second Stage acts we are announcing -The Prodigy - among them, I'm also very keen to highlight the new areas of the festival we are developing this year, Trenchtown and Bearded Kitten."

Benicassim runs from 16 – 19 July in the Recinto de Benicassim with tickets available now at fiberfib.com and through Ticketmaster.
