The Sheffield quartet played to a packed venue at San Diego venue The Observatory North Park in California last night (2 May) where they played four new songs from new album Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino.
“Have you missed us, San Diego?” frontman Alex Turner asked the crowd before launching into “The View from the Afternoon,” the first track from their debut record Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not which was released in 2006.
The band played a further one song from their debut album, two from Favourite Worst Nightmare, Humbug and Suck It and See. They played a total of seven tracks from AM.
They also excitingly played B-side “You're So Dark” live for the very first time while perennial set-closer "505" was dropped midway through the set with "R U Mine" closing the comeback.
Cam Avery supported and joined the band on stage for new tracks “Four Out of Five” and “She Looks Like Fun.”
