From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Twelve-time Grammy Award-winner Alicia Keys will tour the UK in May 2010 as part of what will likely become a full European tour. Tickets for the first round of shows go on sale November 30.

The tour will follow the release of Keys's new album, The Element of Freedom, which is due out internationally December 15. The album features the singles "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" and "Doesn't Mean Anything," as well as a solo version of "Empire State of Mind," which Keys previously sang with Jay-Z, and "Put It In A Love Song," a duet with Beyoncé. Also collaborating on the album is the rapper Drake, for the track "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)."

Keys's 2010 tour will mark her first UK shows since her 2007 As I Am tour.

2010 UK Tour Dates:

May 19 Birmingham, NIA

May 23 Glasgow, SECC

May 25 London, The O2

May 29 Manchester, MEN Aren
