Jeremih is “doing a little better” after he was hospitalised for coronavirus, according to 50 Cent.

Over the weekend, it was reported that the 33-year-old singer had been put in an Intensive Care Unit on a breathing ventilator after testing positive for the virus.

On Sunday (15 November), 50 Cent gave fans an update on his condition. The rapper shared a photo of his friend accompanied by a caption, reading: “Thank you for praying for my Boy @jeremih he is responsive today, doing a little better.”

50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – had previously asked fans to send their prayers to Jeremih in a separate post shared on Saturday (14 November).

He wrote: “Pray for my boy Jeremih he’s not doing good this covid s*** is real.”

50 Cent and Jeremih have collaborated on songs such as 2010’s “Down on Me”.

Other musicians including Chance the Rapper, Big Sean and Trey Songz also shared their well wishes on social media.

Chance the Rapper said that Jeremih is “like a brother to me”. He continued: “I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer for him.”

Big Sean wrote: “Prayers up, praying for your strength Jeremih.”
