From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.50 Cent has claimed his ongoing feud with fellow rapper Ja Rule will not end until "one of us is gone".
Following a skit on Saturday Night Live that referenced their infamous beef, 50 Cent replied to an Instagram comment by Ja Rule, which said "#PULL UP", and said: "It's never over. We may take a break, but [it] ain't over till one of us is gone".
Their latest exchange took place just over a week after 50 Cent claimed to have bought 200 tickets to Ja Rule's forthcoming concert in Las Vegas, so the seats would be empty.
Ja Rule fired back by first mocking 50 Cent for the stunt, then posting a photoshopped image of his rival dressed in drag.
The feud between the two MCs began almost two decades ago, and it seems that neither has any intention of ending it soon.
However, 50 Cent does seem to have grown tired of Ja Rule's comments on his social media – after their most recent exchange, Ja Rule tweeted that 50 has blocked him.
"He can dish it but can't take it," he wrote. "Stop acting like everything he do [sic] is dope he's TRASH... lmao how's that get the strap on single doing for you???"
He continued to prod his enemy with an apparently endless supply of photoshopped images showing 50 Cent's head on an older woman's body.
"Tell auntie 50 to unblock me I just wanna play," he wrote.
