Your support makes all the difference.Dream pop artist Porcelain Raft, the moniker of Rome-born, London-based musician Mauro Remiddi, debuts in The Hype Machine's most blogged artists chart on August 11 with the release of a remix EP. Also, San Franciso band Girls is back in the chart after debuting a new video for their latest single.
Electronic artists Memory Tapes, Memoryhouse, CFCD, Babe Rainbow and Pierce & Pierce all contributed remixes of tunes from Porcelain Raft's Gone Blind for a new EP released via label Acéphale's website. Blogger The Music Ninja writes that Toronto-based chillwave artist Memoryhouse produced a "totally chill, totally headphone-worthy" remix of the track "I Found a Way Home," while Danish producers Pierce & Pierce's rendition of "Talk to Me" offers a "quick beat and hand claps right on top of long, melting chords."
Indie rock band Girls, fronted by lead vocalist Christopher Owens, has been a hot topic since the release of a new track called "Vomit" from the band's upcoming full-length Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Now the band released a video for the track that "begins with seductive footage '60s cherry red Mustang convertible then changes pace to a drive through the city," writes blogger FensePost. "Interesting angles and bright colors amidst a dark background all emphasize the song's power."
