Your support makes all the difference.Los Angeles rock band No Age is the most popular act on The Hype Machine on August 16, as it readies the September release of Everything in Between on Sub Pop Records. Montreal funk duo Chromeo is in second, followed by Montreal indie group Arcade Fire, while Röyksopp and André 3000 have climbed up the chart.
Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp formed in 1998 and has released three albums, most recently 2009's Junior. The duo is set follow that upbeat album with the moodier, darker Senior on September 13, and the first single "The Drug" has just been released. Barrygruff (barrygruff.wordpress.com) reviews, "New tune 'The Drug' is ... relaxing, atmospheric, mellow and of the high standard we have come to expect from them."
André 3000, the American hip-hop artist who makes up one half of OutKast, is in the blogs following the release of his track "I Do," which is said to be his contribution to the upcoming Young Jeezy album TM103.
