Your support makes all the difference.On September 1, the final round of nominees was revealed for the 44th annual CMA Awards, set to take place in Nashville on November 10. Leading the nominations is 27-year-old singer Miranda Lambert, whose seven nods include Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
The Country Music Association Awards are held annually to celebrate the best in American country music, honoring many world-famous performers and rising celebrities. Taylor Swift was the star of the 2009 awards, winning three trophies including the top title of Entertainer of the Year.
Lambert got her start after placing third place on US reality show Nashville Star in 2003. She has since released four albums, three of which debuted at number one on the US Billboard Country Albums chart.
She is nominated 2010 Entertainer of the Year alongside Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band. In the Female Vocalist category she'll go up against Swift, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, and Martina McBride. Lambert also earned two nods each for Single of the Year and music Video of the Year for her songs "White Liar" and "The House That Built Me."
Among other nominees, Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown Band are up for vocal group of the year against Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry, while Zac Brown Band is nominated again in the new artist of the year category, up against Easton Corbin, Luke Bryan, Jerrod Niemann, and Chris Young.
Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood for the third time, the CMA Awards will be televised live in the US on ABC beginning at 8:00pm ET on November 10. Tickets for the CMA Awards ceremony in Nashville will be sold online September 18 through Ticketmaster and start at $110.
