Your support makes all the difference.The only London festival organised and run by a creative team all aged 25 and under, Turning Point will feature the chart-topping grime crew Roll Deep, Ms Dynamite, Professor Green, Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank and Toddla T, as well as comedy and cabaret.
Ms Dynamite will perform songs from her Mercury Prize-winning debut album, while Professor Green will play the hits that broke him into the mainstream, such as "I Need You Tonight" and the Lily Allen-featuring "Just Be Good to Green".
Held from 17 to 19 September at Camden's Roundhouse, the festival is part of the venue's commitment to empowering young people and nurturing new talent. DJ Target, one of the Roll Deep crew, said: "It's really important and a pleasure for us to be getting involved in something like this, especially if it could give some young adults an opportunity or some inspiration."
In addition to chart successes, Sunday's line-up will be devoted to rising talent, and a mix of poetry, comedy and inventive use of the Roundhouse's spaces. There will be a chance to sample entries to this year's 2010 Funny Women Awards. Music promoters Eat Your Own Ears will provide up-and-coming bands Actress, Bo Ningen, and Radiant Dragon, while the London Word Festival will host Laura Dockrill, Ross Sutherland and Terry Saunders.
