I like a lot of atmosphere, and he's the king of the atmospheric keyboard. I've also always had a soft spot for U2 and when he came on board producing, he made them into something special.
Drums - John Bonham
He's the don of rock drums and his sound was always so huge and epic. Not many drummers can get away with doing a 20-minute drums solo, like he did with Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick". He was such an exciting player.
Bass - Phil Lynott
I've always really liked Thin Lizzy and Lynott was a fantastic bass player. He can also do a bit of the backing vocals too.
Vocals and guitar - John Lennon
His singing style was completely unique. I know it was kind of nasally, but he was one of the first to have that rock'n'roll rasp to his voice that people like Liam Gallagher rip off. He's one of the first and one of the best. He might as well play guitar as well because he was pretty good at that, too. A lot better than me, that's for sure.
Guitar - Alex Chilton
I'm a massive fan of Big Star and I think Alex Chilton is kind of an unsung hero. Everyone here has really good pop and rock sensibilities and are really melodic, so they might actually sound all right together.
