Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Vocals - Sting

I want him from the Police days, he was amazing then. He always has this look on his face that he's thinking about every lyric, that he knows something that you don't. With his melodies he mixed reggae with modern-day pop music and ska and stuff which I thought was an incredible mix for someone to do.

Guitar - The Edge

He has come up with some of the most innovative guitar playing of the last 10 to 15 years, he really speaks through his guitar.

Bass - Paul McCartney

There aren't too many people out there who are multi-faceted, who can play all these different things, can write on guitar or piano and also be known as the bassist in the Beatles. Unbelievable.

Drums - Keith Moon

There's no one else in the world who can be that single-handedly messed up on drugs and play as well as Keith Moon.

Keys - Elton John

You have to have some controversy in the band and I think in today's day and age, for example if Simon Cowell was putting a band together, he'd put someone like Elton in there to mix things up a bit. He loves the controversy, he's got real balls. This band would be a circus.

The Script's new album, 'Science & Faith', is on release now. thescriptmusic.com
