Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Music Box is back! We hope you didn't miss us too much - there's a lot lined up for season 3 and that includes our first artist of season 3: the incredible London-based rapper Ms Banks.
Ms Banks fronted our Ones to Watch list for 2018; she's an absolute star in the making, with influences from some of the best MCs in the game including Nicki Minaj and Ms Dynamite.
She's been catching attention with a string of brilliant releases including her latest single "Come Thru" which dropped in January this year.
More recently she scored a support slot with grime legend Wiley, and has her own headline show coming up on 28 March at Omeara in London.
For her Music Box session she played "Come Thru" plus her massive, hard-hitting single "Bangs" and "Day Ones", bringing a tonne of fun and attitude into the studio.
Check out the session above - and make sure you keep an eye out for upcoming Music Box sessions each Friday from now until May.
Thanks to: Ms Banks and her team, Emily Cooper, Sennheiser and The Independent video team
