Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.German duo Milky Chance have revealed the video for their song "Bad Things" ft. British singer Izzy Bizu.
You might remember that we premiered their equally-excellent video for "Doing Good" back in January this year - this new video has a similarly simple concept but is just as effective.
The record-breaking act met BRITs Critics' Choice nominee Bizu a few years ago at a festival and struck up a friendship before putting the track together.
They've since released the video, which you can watch first via The Independent below:
"The inspiration for 'Bad Things' came from a feeling of finding yourself repeatedly stuck in the same kind of situation," Clemens Rehbein explains.
"It's a tiring, going-around-in-circles tragedy. In the end it's always up to you to find the way out, but this song is a shout out to that person who's always there while you work it out."
The video follows on for that theme, cleverly showing the duo contrasted with shots of Izzy Buzu following the same path.
Milky Chance kick their sold-out UK tour off at O2 Kentish Town Forum in London on 8 November before heading to Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Dublin, check here for tickets.
"Bad Things" is available now and impacts on 15 December via Ignition Records.
