English rock band Coldplay announced British rock musician Bat for Lashes as the opening act for the Latin American leg of its worldwide Viva la Vida Tour, according to Coldplay.com.
Seven dates in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico beginning on February 26 will mark the end of the Viva la Vida Tour, which has already played a total of 159 shows in 25 countries across the globe.
Natasha Khan, professionally known by her stage name Bat for Lashes, released her sophomore album Two Suns to critical acclaim in April 2009.
All Latin American dates of the Coldplay tour are as follows:
February 26: Buenos Aires, Argentina (River Plate Stadium)
February 28: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Apoteose Stadium)
March 2: Sao Paulo, Brazil (Morumbi Stadium)
March 4: Bogota, Colombia (Parque Simon Bolivar)
March 6: Mexico City, Mexico (Foro Sol)
March 9: Guadalajara, Mexico (Estadio Tres de Marzo)
March 11: Monterrey, Mexico (Estadio Universitario)
