Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. On March 22, singer Christina Aguilera relaunched her official website in anticipation of her forthcoming album Bionic, due out in 2010. A day later, she revealed that "Not Myself Tonight" would be the name of the first single from that album.
The news came following a 24-hour countdown on the singer's website, with a message that "big news" about the album was on the way. As soon as the single was revealed, at 9:00 am PST, a new 24-hour countdown began, this one set to end on March 24 and promising "more big news." Fans can also sign up for email updates.
Bionic will be Aguilera's first studio album since 2006's Back to Basics, which went platinum in more than a dozen countries, earned a Grammy Award for Best Pop Female Vocal Performance, and was named iTunes' Best Pop Album of the Year.
