Your support makes all the difference.Sir: Am I alone in being appalled by the calls for compassion in favour of Pinochet ("Straw may release Pinochet", 23 October)? What compassion did this monster show for the thousands of people, whose only crime was to support a cause he despised, whom he ordered to be brutally tortured or killed? Let the law take its course - there is no possibility of Pinochet being treated as badly as he treated his victims.
