Your support makes all the difference.Sir: Marks & Spencer's loss of profit is the same story as Yardley's failure, and the decline of Radio 4 listening figures. Years ago, the over-thirties customer could go to M&S and be reasonably sure of finding clothing they would like to buy. M&S decided they wanted a younger customer. Their core business has suffered, and they have failed to attract the young, as have Yardley and Radio 4. A misplaced obsession with youth (which they don't understand) is responsible.
